The Numbers

The numbers:

The AP polling shows Obama leading in Ohio (7 percentage points), Nevada (12 points), Colorado (9) and Virginia (7), all states won by Bush that collectively offer 47 electoral votes.

In Pennsylvania, with 21 electoral votes, and New Hampshire, with four, Obama leads by double digits, the AP reports.

In Missouri, McCain is still in the lead 50-48 percent, with independent Ralph Nader pulling in 4 percent.

In Montana, McCain is ahead 48-44 percent, well within the margin of error.

Obama is tied with McCain in North Carolina and Florida, according to the AP.
